Kristin Geist, Conductor - Edmond Festival Strings
This is Kristin Geist’s sixth year to work with Edmond Public Schools but her tenth year teaching. She is the orchestra director at Cheyenne Middle School and assistant orchestra director at Edmond Memorial High School. She is a graduate of Oklahoma City University where she earned her bachelors degree in music education. Mrs. Geist worked with Oklahoma City Public Schools at Classen SAS prior to graduating and began string programs at Nichols Hills and Sequoyah Elementary after graduation. She then moved to Dallas, Texas where she was orchestra director at Barbara Bush Middle School in the Carrollton-Farmers Branch Independent School District for four years. She and her husband, Nick, reside in Oklahoma City with their son Andrew.
