The Harrison Chamber Orchestra is an auditioned string ensemble. Literature rehearsed and performed utilizes position work, advanced rhythms, keys, bowing techniques, articulations, and expression. Student musicians need to demonstrate knowledge and performance of these skills in addition to vibrato, upper position work, and musicality in their audition selection. Individual practice and attendance at rehearsals and concerts is important to the development and success of both the student and the ensemble. Conductor of the Harrison Chamber Orchestra is Dawn Thrailkill, who has conducted the ensemble since it began in 1999. Tuition for the Chamber Orchestra is $340 per year.
